​SM Foundation donates ventilators to Region 2 hospitals

SM Foundation donated three ICU-grade ventilators in Region 2

Three hospitals in Region 2 each received an ICU-grade ventilator from SM Foundation, which strengthens their capacity to manage severe COVID-19 cases, particularly for patients who require intubation.

The hospital beneficiaries are the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC), Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC), and Gov. Faustino N. Dy Sr. Memorial Hospital (GFNDSMH).

Present at the turnover were the heads of the three hospitals namely Dr. Glenn Mathew Baggayao of CVMC; Dr. Emmanuel Salamanca of SIMC; and Dr. Nelson Paguirigan of the GFNDSMH. Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Silvestre Bello and SM City Cauayan Mall Manager Sheila Marie Estabillo also graced the said event.

​To date, SM has donated almost Php 400 million in essential medical supplies, equipment, rt-PCR testing, and assistance to help national efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
