SM Foundation Wins Four Awards at the 2026 Philippine Quill Awards

SM Foundation received four awards at the 22nd Philippine Quill Awards, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, held on August 27, 2026 at Solaire Resort, Parañaque, under the theme “SOAR: Shaping Outcomes, Advancing Reputations.”
The Foundation's development communication initiative, SM Foundation: Utilizing Social Good as a Force for Transformation, earned two Excellence Awards under Community Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility. #SpreadingSocialGood Stories Online: Transforming Lives Through Heartfelt Storytelling, a digital storytelling campaign also won an Excellence Award in the Social Media category. The SM Foundation Social Good Report, “Unfolding Good to Unite Partners for Lasting Change”, received a Merit Award in the Publications category.

SM Foundation's health and wellness programs have brought basic healthcare services directly to communities nationwide for more than two decades.

Now on its 22nd year, the Philippine Quill Awards recognizes outstanding communication programs, tools, and research across industries, with entries evaluated against IABC's global standards for strategic thinking, execution, and measurable impact.
“Communication is an important part of strengthening the impact of development programs,” said Debbie Sy, Executive Director of SM Foundation. “It helps communities understand the opportunities available to them, gives people a voice, and brings partners closer to our mission. That is what spreading social good means to us, using communication to help social good initiatives reach and engage more people.”
The recognition reflects SM Foundation's mission to empower and uplift Filipinos by driving positive change in education, health, livelihood, and disaster relief efforts.
