Faith in Everyday Spaces

How the Felicidad T. Sy Foundation Brings Faith Closer to Communities

As the dawn of Holy Week draws near, many Filipino families prepare to deepen their faith through reflection, prayer, and acts of devotion. In this season of spiritual renewal, the need for accessible spaces for worship becomes more meaningful. Helping make this possible is the Felicidad T. Sy Foundation, Inc. (FTSFI).

FTSFI was established to bring the Catholic faith closer to Filipino families.

Guided by the belief of its founder that faith is a cornerstone of community life, the foundation focuses on supporting the spiritual needs of Filipinos by building, renovating, and maintaining Catholic churches and chapels across the Philippines.

The foundation continues the legacy of SM Group matriarch Felicidad T. Sy, whose dedication to the Church and its mission has inspired the development of religious spaces in malls and communities nationwide.

These efforts reflect her belief that prayer should be within reach of everyone.

Through the years, FTSFI has helped create spaces where individuals and families can take a moment to pause and reconnect with their faith—even amid the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Whether you are observing Holy Week traditions or simply seeking quiet time for reflection, here are several churches and chapels across the Philippines supported by FTSFI:

  1. San Pedro Calungsod Chapel, Cebu City
  2. San Pedro Calungsod Chapel, SM Aura, Taguig
  3. Cross Tower, Cebu
  4. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Chapel, Hen. Uno, Cavite
  5. Mary the Queen Chapel, Jaro, Iloilo
  6. Mary the Queen Chapel, Tacloban
  7. John Mary Vianney Center for Priests
  8. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Chapel, SM North EDSA

  12. Holy Family of Nazareth Chapel, NU-NS High School
  13. Shrine of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, beside SMX Convention Center, Pasay City
