SM Scholars from Leyte and Samar bond over lunch with SM Foundation team

One hundred and twenty (120) SM scholars from Leyte and Samar enjoyed a lunch treat at the Shylaer’s Sizzling Steak Restaurant in Savemore Tacloban City with SM Foundation representatives last month.
Out of the 120, one hundred scholars were the recipients of additional scholarships under SM Foundation’s Yolanda Rehabilitation Program in 2014.

To date, SM Foundation has produced over 1,900 scholar-graduates while 1,500 are currently enrolled in 82 partner schools nationwide.

Last month, SM Foundation also turned over two school buildings under its Yolanda Rehabilitation Program – (a) in partnership with SM Prime and BDO Foundation, a 2-storey, 4-classroom building turned over to Tacloban National High School; and, (b) another 2-storey, 4-classroom building turned over to San Roque Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte this time in partnership with the Philippine Stock Exchange.

To date, SM Foundation has turned over 67 school buildings since its program started in 2002.
