SM Foundation’s new school building for residents of Aklan

SM Foundation turned over its 63rd school building, a newly-built and fully furnished two-storey, four-classroom school building, to Ibajay National High School in Kalibo, Aklan on December 16, 2014. The building included 200 student armchairs, 16 wall fans, eight blackboards, four teachers’ desk sets, and four toilets.

The school buildings of Ibajay National High School were heavily damaged by Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan) in November 2013.

The new school building was donated in partnership with SM Prime Holdings, Inc. and BDO Foundation under SM Foundation’s Yolanda Rehabilitation Program. By end of 2014, SM Foundation has donated 67 school buildings with 196 classrooms since its school building program started in 2002.
