SM Foundation renovates Pediatric ward at the Air Force General Hospital in Villamor Airbase

Dr. Jacqueline Ramolete, head pediatrician of the Air Force General Hospital in Villamor Airbase in Pasay City, checks on three-year-old Andrej Lovendino who was confined for gastroenteritis. Also in the photo are Andrej’s mother, grandmother, and sister. Andrej chose this bed because of his favorite cartoon hero, Captain America. The mural was painted by enlisted Air Force personnel.

The newly renovated and refurbished pediatric ward was turned over to Air Force General Hospital on August 5 with SM Foundation and Philippine Air Force representatives present. Included in the renovation and refurbishing are the pediatric intensive care unit, respiratory room, three isolation rooms, hematology room, gastroenterology room, treatment ward, nurses station, nurses room, comfort rooms, and a library. Finally, a Felicidad T. Sy Wellness Center for Children was also built.
