SM Foundation, Nivea, Watsons honor women frontliners
In its bid to honor the efforts of female frontliners in the fight against COVID-19, SM Foundation, Nivea, and Watsons partnered to distribute 10,000 pieces of Nivea moisturizing cream.
According to UNICEF, women make up roughly 70 percent of the global health workforce—this further highlights the important role that they play in the society, especially now that we are in a pandemic. Aside from the health care services, women from other sectors—military, development work, among others—also equally bring great impacts as we fight the spread of COVID-19.
With this in mind, SM Foundation, Watsons, and Nivea worked together to bring smiles to thousands of female frontliners by giving more than 10,000 pieces of Nivea moisturizing cream.
In its bid to honor the efforts of female frontliners in the fight against COVID-19, SM Foundation, Nivea, and Watsons partnered to distribute 10,000 pieces of Nivea moisturizing cream.
Among the recipients are the female frontliners at the Philippine Red Cross, Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command, and Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).
Honey Castro, PCW Corporate Affairs and Information Resource Management Division Chief, expressed her gratitude to SM Foundation and its partners: “On behalf of the PCW management and workforce, thank you for the Nivea products that you sent to our office. The items were distributed to our employees and the remaining pieces will be used in future activities of the Commission.”

“We value your organization's appreciation of the work that we do in Gender and Development, which includes efforts to help address violence against women,” she added.
Aside from the continuous run of its social good programs, which all intend to improve the quality of life of Filipinos, SMFI also actively partners with organizations and government agencies to further strengthen its reach to those in the grassroot communities

More so, SM Foundation extended help for COVID-19 response by donating essential medical supplies, equipment, rt-PCR testing, and assistance to other national efforts in the fight against COVID-19.
