SM Foundation donates medical supplies to TOWNS, UP Medical Foundation

 TOWNS Foundation and UPMF together with Naval Officers from the Philippine Navy

The Filipino Bayanihan spirit shines through amid the coronavirus outbreak as SM Foundation delivered medical supplies to The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service Foundation (TOWNS) Foundation and the University of the Philippines Medical Foundation (UPMF) on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

The medical supplies included disinfecting alcohol, personal protective equipment (PPEs), and surgical gowns intended for medical front liners battling the COVID-19 pandemic through the help of TOWNS and UPMF.

TOWNS Foundation, UPMF, and Naval Officers from the Philippine Navy loading the medical supplies from the SM Group to be distributed to COVID-19 frontliners

Naval officers from the Philippine Navy will also lend a hand with the distribution so those in remote areas have access to the much-needed medical supplies. These packages will help initial recipient communities in the cities of Dumaguete and Zamboanga.

The said donation is part of the PHP170 million allocation previously pledged by SM to 50 hospitals to be of service to the Filipino public, medical institutions, and the government to overcome the pandemic together.
