The initiative is part of SM Foundation’s School Building Program, implemented in collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd)’s Adopt-A-School Program.

The new school buildings are scheduled for completion and turnover in the third quarter of 2025.

SM Foundation signs a memorandum of agreement with DepEd at a ceremony on April 29 at Suaybaguio-Riña Elementary School in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

SM Foundation’s School Building Program is anchored in the belief of its founder, Henry Sy, Sr., that education is a great equalizer. The foundation aims to support communities by improving learning facilities and creating better learning environments for the youth and educators.

To date, the program has turned over 110 school buildings nationwide, benefiting thousands of students and educators.
