SM group, through its social good arm SM Foundation, recently organized four medical missions, providing more medical care to key areas in Palawan.

Three missions were conducted in Puerto Princesa: Naval Station Apolinario Jalandoon (NSAJ), Brgy. Irawan, and Brgy Sta Cruz. The fourth was in Brooke’s Point, with the collaboration of BDO Network in the latter. The initiative offered a range of medical services, including consultations, dental care, blood tests for sugar, cholesterol and uric, and some minor surgeries. SMFI’s Mobile Clinic was also stationed in the said areas to provide free X-Rays and ECGs.

Delia Pagadora, one of the beneficiaries in Brgy. Irawan, shared that the medical missions of the SM Foundation enabled her community to take care of their health without the financial burden.

Kailangan pong maging malakas ako dahil bilang daycare worker, kailangan alerto ako dahil three to five years old ang inaalagaan ko sa trabaho.

The medical mission was also done in collaboration with DMIRIE Foundation–the charity organization of DMI, Medical Supply Company, Inc., 2GO, Negrense Marine Integrated Services Inc., Philippine Navy, and local government units in Palawan.
