Efraim Santibanez National High School receive new school building
School principal, Nelson Palma leads teachers & students of the Efraim Santibanez National High School in Passi, Iloilo in saying “thank-you” to donors, SM Foundation & BDO Foundation for the spanking new 2-storey, 4-classroom school building built in the school campus.
In receiving the donation on behalf of school officials, lot donor, Edmund Santibanez extolled SM patriarch, Henry Sy, Sr. as the “only Filipino whose heart is in helping the poor”. He said he is proud of the new addition to the school which will greatly benefit the high school students presently enrolled in the school. The school has a total population are 524 students from neighboring barangays Mola-pola, Cabunga, Aglaluna, Sto. Tomas, Pataugan, Agtambo & Sarapan. 200 of these students are in high school while the rest are in the elementary level.
The donation came complete with chairs, teachers’ tables, electric fans and toilets per classroom. Text books & library books were likewise donated to the school.
SM Foundation Executive Director, Debbie P. Sy & BDO Foundation President, Maureen Abelardo as well as Linda Atayde, SMFI Executive Director for Education turned over the schoolbuiling to school officials led by School Principal, Nelson P. Palma and Maura F. Pait – Schools Division Superintendent and to Mayor Jesry T. Palmares.
