In order to provide relief to the victims of Typhoon Tisoy, SM Foundation with its partners mobilized various relief operations that distributed relief packs to affected families across the Bicol Region.

Through its Operation Tulong Express (OPTE), 6,000 family beneficiaries from Legazpi City, Tiwi, and Malinao in Albay; Naga City and Buhi in Camarines Sur; Daet, Camarines Norte; and Sorsogon City, Sorsogon. Each relief pack is composed of bottled mineral water, rice, ready-to-eat meals, and instant noodles.

Furthermore, SMFI expressed its sincerest gratitude to the SM City Legazpi, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Geothermal Power Corp., and other partners and volunteers for helping make this initiative possible.

Under its Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) program, SM Foundation aims to be one of the first responders in times of disasters and calamities by distributing Kalinga (relief) packs to affected families.
