Arch. Lyndon Araña, Project Manager of SM EDD and one of the employee volunteers who helped in building the seven EQFs shared that his passion of helping others emanated from their family values, “I always wanted to help, not just during this pandemic, but even before. It has been our tradition and passion in the family to reach out to those who are in need.”
“Every ounce of effort is worth it to help others. Other than the monetary aid, I can give more with my expertise as a professional. It’s amazing SM EDD has the same breed of professionals who are willing to help,” Araña said.
“We built these facilities to support and take care of the frontliners. This is our expertise, our contribution in the fight against COVID-19. We are here to help you get better, no one is alone in this fight,” he further shared.
Another SM EDD volunteer, Project Engineer Felix Borja shared the reasons why he chose to offer his skills in this social good initiative, “I want to personally be part of the fight against COVID-19. To do good and to do what is right are the main reasons why I’m volunteering,”
Borja said. Borja further expressed his hopes of inspiring others to also help, even in their own little ways, in curbing the spread of coronavirus. ”Our world needs more acts of kindness,” he ended.
