Barangay kagawad Alma Tolonghari remained strong despite the devastation of her home and province when a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Loon, Bohol in 2013.

Hopeful in restarting her livelihood, Alma joined SM Foundation’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) Farmers’ Training Program when it was launched in their area. Alma listened intently to the lectures and participated enthusiastically during the program's hands-on training.

Under the program, Alma and her fellow trainees were taught on the effective production of high-value crops. The training also became somewhat of a rehabilitation for the victims.

Alma gratefully related.

Today, Alma and her husband utilizes a part of their land to plant vegetables. This is currently their main source of income.
